Default I cannot remove the plug

I CANNOT AT ALL remove the petcock plug for the life of me. Nothing can reach it other than needle nose pliers but only at one angle so it doesn't twist. It is impossible to unscrew with my fingers even if I get it loose. anyone? Yes the battery is removed but I can't even get close to it from the top

You posted in a thread that is almost 12 years old, its a lot easier if you start your own thread according to some.

Anyway if you are trying to drain your radiator, just remove the lower hose and let it drain.

Ok thanks. I'm new to forums so yeah. I did remove that hose. I was just nervous that it wasn't going to drain the whole thing because it seems like it's only halfway down the radiator

What is your goal as far as the radiator? If you are trying to flush it, the petcock would be a bad choice anyway due to its small diameter. I would just pull the lower hose run water from the top till its clear then run water into the bottom until it drains clear.

I never mess with the plastic drain valve because they tend to break or not seal up afterwards. The radiator hose is far more effective, although messier to capture and properly dispose of the old coolant. For getting stuck hoses off, especially when there is a risk of damaging a plastic radiator or copper heater core, I squirt a little carb or brake cleaner under the edge of the rubber then a slide a hooked screwdriver around and under the edge of the rubber to loosen it up.
