Quick question
Hello I recently picked up a 2000 2 door Cherokee 4.0 as a hunting/trail jeep.
It only has 125,000 miles and maintenance records up the wazoo all done at the dealer ship since day one. The Jeep is pretty much rust free on the underside, previous owner stayed on top of keeping it clean and rust proofing it. Now my question is, im not even sure if this is a issue. It idles great, but when I turn on the heat I get a engine surge at a stop only. As soon as I turn the heat off it goes away. Its not even a huge surge, just a little you can feel it push in the brakes. Any idea were I can start to look? Some type of vacuum leak? I plan on starting a build thread here soon. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! :thumbup1: |
Is it the a/c commpressor turning on and off?
|
Not sure, I will check tonight.
I know the person I got it from said they just changed the compressor. And from what I understand it will cycle the compressor if you have the vent set to de-frost, which is how I run my heat. I will verify later tonight when I get home. Thanks! |
