Question Quick Question.

I have a 98 cherokee classic with stock suspension and what maximum tire size will fit without much to no problems. Tires i have on now are P235/75 R15. I know the R15 meens the rim size is 15 inches in diameter, but what does all the other numbers meen and what size tires are they?

the biggest tire you can put on stock is a 30x9.50x15

the first # is height the second # is width the third # is rim diameter

so that meens tire size is 30 and rim width is 9.5 and rim diameter is 15. Am i correct, please correct me if im wrong

Ok thank you for clearing that up. My tires are 235/75 R15. What is the 235 and 75?

Then why dont mine say 235x75x15 like 30x9.50x15? Along with its not 235 inches right so what measurement is 235 and 75? R15 is rims and that is in inches.

235 and 75 are metric numbers, I think its centimeters or something... I dont know why they measure the 235 and 75 in metric and the rim in inches..
If you use that calculator you will see that you have a 29.8" tire (high), 9.3" wide, with a 7" section height and a 15" rim...

So my tires are 28.9 thats the size of the tire right? Diameter 28.9, Section width 9.3, section height 7.
