anything over 3" you need longer or extended brake lines to flex properly. My buddy has 5" of lift on stock lines they work great on the street but he won't be flexin any time soon.

you can bend an relocate the front but 3 is still about the limit just get some lines and then you don't have to worry about it. plus it gives you a chance to put some new fluid in the system and that is always good

Honestly I am at 8.5" and have been for over a year and the last run I did before I put it in the garage I finally broke a brake line, and mine were stock length. All I did was unbolt them from the body and straighten them to get the most length. I was surprised they lasted that long, but wasn't going to bother changing them until I finally broke one.

i would say at the stock location without any modification what soever 2" is the maximum that would work safely when flexing off road on road different story but 3" you should get longer lines or bend them

Onroad you can go much higher then 3" ...I have yet to replace or move my front ones and I sit at almost 4.5" up front but haven't really flexed out yet and won't till I can replace them.
