QUICK Help PLEASE... Symptoms of air in ABS pump?????
I am in the final stages of a D35-->C8.25/Disc swap and I simply cannot bleed my brakes. I am getting a constant stream of air with minimal fluid. I have been at this almost all day. I tried to gravity bleed it and get nothing. Not even a drip after 30-60 minutes. I don't have help and I am using the mityvac vacuum pump to do this.
Once they wouldnt bleed I doubted my flares so I trimmed and reflared all of the lines on the rear that are new.
I don't know what else to do. There is a possibility it drained enough to get air in the pump I guess. Not really sure. Anything is a possibility at this point all I know is I cannot even get this thing close to being bled.
Could it be air in the ABS... is that how it would act? Is there a way to diagnose that?
oh btw its an '01

I have the best luck bleeding these things the old-fashioned way. A helper presses on the brake pedal while you crack the bleeder open. Close bleeder, let brake pedal up. Repeat until you get no more air, then repeat a couple more times anyway. Start at the furthest wheel from the MC (rear passengers), then rear driver's, then front passengers, then front driver's.
IIRC some need to be bled using a DRB scan tool or they'll never be right. There's no other way to operate the solenoids and purge them. I suspect yours is one of them.
