Quick gear question...
 

To regear my hp dana 30 front in my XJ, I would need a... 4.10 gears, rebuild kit and seals? Is there anything else i would need besides someone else doing it for me.

Also a site that has the full setup and a good reputation with their products.

randys ring and pinion will have all the parts you need.
you need gears and the master rebuild kit or whatever its called, itll have bearings, races, shims, and maybe a crush sleeve

gears are 262.00 for the 4.10s and the rebuild kit, or here i guess its install kit? im not to sure is only 43.00 so with shipping i guess around 350.00 plus another 200-300 for install. I really wish i could find an xj with 4.10s!!:wallbash:

You will also need a carrier for the 3.73 and up gear ratios.

have you looked in any junk yards?
the 4cyl jeeps had 410 gears in them thatll help out a little on price.

yeah thats where i got the two 8.25s with 4.10s. thats why im looking to regear the front. its just all three of the jeeps which were four cylinders were 2wd. i live 2 miles from two junkyards so ive been looking for two years for 4cylinder cherokees these are my first finds. Im gunna end up probly just trying to find one in the junkyards hopefully it doesnt take me 2 more years. Im desperate for the front I want 4.10s so badly, i run 33.12.50s on 3.55 with a 27 spline 8.25.

Thats what i was about to say. I am like 95% sure you need a new carrier. Look it up but everything else stated will be needed as well. Good luck
