quick bumper q
 

So yesterday i took off the plastic guards around my 98' bumper. i was hoping it would look a little beefier but not really. kinda looks ghetto. i would be willing to keep it like that but there's a little ball thing hooked up to it on the right side(two black hoses and a ball screwed into the bumper). anyone know what that is? maybe the water pump? I'm looking to fab up a new bumper and don't know how to handle that.

ok great. thanks. does it matter where its mounted? Im a pretty good welder so im sure i could fab up something for it.
