Question on drilling bumper
Hey I was wondering.....I got some lights I want to mount on the stock bumper, and it will require drilling holes in the bumper. And was curious as to if I should/or have any of you, used any type of coolant/oil to drill with?
When I was a metal Fab, we used water base coolant on the bandsaw cutting the steel to lessen the wear and tear on the blade and to make cutting smoother, as well as when we needed to drill into the steel. So should I do the same? Or is just the two holes not that big a deal? Bought a Black and Decker Titanium(sp?) bit for steel, and would like to keep it nice, was like $13.00 for 1 bit
Also, once I drill the holes should I seal/paint them to cut down on any rust build up? ie: dap some gasket maker/silicon/paint into holes?
Thanks!

The front bumper to me seems kinda soft, you should have no problems drilling into it with a cutting oil/agent. As far as rust proofing the gasket maker sounds about best....

Yea I thought the same for both, but wasn't sure if I was 'over-acting' to using oil/coolant on the bumber. Like ya said, seems 'relativly easy'. And gasket maker was thinking a good choice as well.
