Default question on CV axles

Both sides make a pretty loud noise, almost like rough tires, but I don't have rough tires. It gets louder the faster I go and is really bad when making turns at higher speeds and its worse when I'm turning left than right. I thinks its the axles. Any suggestions, and if you think the same what is the level of difficulty on this?

90 Cherokee? You dont have CV axleshafts.. unless someone swapped them in. Is there a rubber boot covering or do they look like a typical u-joint?

I hate messing with axleshaft ujoints.. i drop them off at a buds shop with new joints and pick them up later. Only costs me $30 and i dont have to deal with them.

I don't have cv's. That's what I get for listening to someone else.
I just crawled under and looked. It is u-joints would these cause the same clanking noise?

I am getting some slight vibes in turns mainly left. I think I may swap em out and see if that helps.

If it does it while turning then goes away when turning the opposite direction I would check wheel bearings as well. I have had U-joints go bad and the heat causes the bearing to go bad and visa versa.

Wheel bearings were the first thought that entered my head on this...
