Putting 31s on a stock Cherokee.
Well I bought 31 inch tires and they will be here soon. The jeep is stock everything. The lift will be coming soon but not before the tires. What do I need to do now that's pretty much free so that it will not rub.
Thanks guys |
Cut fenders, and only drive straight.

Should have bought the lift first it looks like !!!!

I currently have 3 flat tires. I needed tires. I knew here in the short future I will have a lift. So I didn't want to spend money to fix these tires then just buy new ones a few weeks after.

We have used tire places around here that in a pinch offer up good deals. |
3o inch tires
i put 30 x 9.5 pro comp on stock jeep - no problem- see my profile picture.
i found perfect stock cj rims on craigs list for $100, and while looking found lots of tires and rims that may be your short term plan. good luck |
Find some old tires on Craigslist, run them till you get your lift installed then sell them..
Or park it until you get the lift and 31's installed. |
Ok everybody calm down lol. With all that y'all were saying I gave in and bought a 3 inch lift
Thanks for pushing me to get it. Now I can't wait!! |

They'll fit just fine if you cut the fenders.
31x10.5 on factory wheels. Stock suspension with a saggy rear end and cut fenders. Attachment 281289 Attachment 281290 |
Not really he still need the proper wheel to go with them and a stock one is not, its a bit narrow . He needs a 15x8" with 3.75-4" of BS for a proper fit to not hit the frame or LCA's. Luckily steel wheels can be bought as little as $40 a wheel. If you rush into things it usually costs you even more money in the long run.
Do it right the first time and I had to trim with that combo of 31x10:50 to keep from rubbing when flexing as most all do finally. |
