Default Pulley went bad, need help please

1998 XJ V6 Engine

The center pulley in the picture started making loud grinding type noises and was wobbling very bad when the engine was revved. It eventually popped the belt off. I was wondering what is involved in repairing this part. Is there some type of bearing that goes bad and can be replaced? I am going to try to do it myself if possible. Thanks in advance.

3/10 just take your time & try not to break too much stuff, as it's old and fragile. Might as well replace all the hoses & thermostat and flush it out while it's drained of coolant. Your Jeep does not have a V-6 btw.

This was the only "how to" thread that I found but it looks like it's for a different model. Is there a better link? https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/wat...-4-0-a-140196/

And sorry I know it's not a "V".

Can you also suggest what brand of part to use as well. I have autozone and advance advance auto parts nearby but I want to make sure I use quality parts. Thanks again guys!

Thanks to all who helped me out in here. I got the water pump replaced, also did the thermostat, upper and lower radiator hose and a new belt. Seems to be running very well. This forum has been a big help since I got my jeep about a year ago. Thanks again.
