Pulled my driver side front wheel off..
For the frist time today frist thing I noticed was this breather hose? coming from the front axle that was all tore up wrapped in silver Nomex? Should I just splice in a jumper hose and tie wrap it away from the rotating shaft that did it in? Thanks this is a street truck ....

Yeah vacuum hose from any parts store will be fine. Raise it up to about the air breather height to be extra safe in a flooded street. use tiewraps to secure it and leave some slack as suggested by mudd to cover the flexing that your axle will do normally. You may want to check the rear one and the transmission one too.

Hmm didn't know there was a trany one..I redid my front and rear diff ones...They were old and rotting anyways..I am actually going through and replacing all my vacuum lines and various hoses..

Thanks guys I dont know how long it was like this its a 2000 I jist got used after I repair the hose I may drain the axle lube just in case water or snow got in . and refill what is the lube oil spec for the axles? what do you guys use?
