Default Proper Triple-C Procedure Not On Can?

After years of reading posts about the wonders of cleaning one’s combustion chamber with Seafoam or Chrysler Triple C, I finally broke down and bought a can of Triple C do my 96 XJ 4.0.

My concern is that the instructions on the can bear no resemblance to what I have always read here. They basically say warm engine, spray it all in the throttle body at moderately low RPM (750), shut down for 15 minutes, idle for 15 minutes, done. What I have always read here is best summarized as “Spray in the whole can while a friend holds idle at 2,000 RPM, shut off, close hood and wait 2 hours, then rev like a maniac and/or drive like you stole it.”

I’m basically a “follow the manufacturer’s instructions” sort of person, but I want to get the most out of this... Should I trust the can or trust you guys?

Actually, not at all.
The absolute best you can use is filtered sewer water. Only solids removed. Not treated.
The additional uric acid in it cleans the combustion chamber more completely. You could eat off it.

Probably best to pee as much as possible into the cup first. Then, fill the cup up with distilled water.
Drinking a few high alcohol IPAs beforehand would help. Need 32 ounces though for the most benefit.

If you're serious, I am not above peeing in the cup to get my XJ to run better.

32 ounces is alot to pee.

You guys are so gullible!!!!

I was gonna let my shenanigans go on for awhile, but my wife scolded me about it.

Said she pictured someone at the Sanitation Department knocking on the door and holding a slurpee cup........

Tap water is just fine.
