Progress Report and Questions
Thank you to all for contributing to this forum.
It has been much help with the work on 1990 Cherokee Laredo 4L. Will be back up tranportation for when weather is bad and don't want to ride my motorcycle. Also for camping, no hardcore offroading planned. The a/c fix was for wifey btw. Progress Report: A/C compressor converted to R134 New A/C hoses Upper and Lower Ball Joints both sides Track Arm left side Goodyear Wrangler 235/75/15 and wheels - Grand Cherokee take offs/they decided to lift and go to 30's after buyng the Wranglers - bought through local classifieds New Lug Nuts from eBay as OEM were a pain and I destroyed a couple changing the wheels New exhast from manifold back - wouldn't pass Emissions Test To Do's: Bleed Brakes to get rid of funky fluid and hopefully improve the braking -they're spongy Remove Console and Carpet to repair rusted out sections of all four floor pans - cargo area appears solid Fog Lights quit working after I fooled with the wiring to stop from dangling from bumper - gotta diag that now. ugh! Radio inop - think its a ground prob as dash clock is very dimly lit but keeps time. Questions: Found a link on to how to remove console for 2001 XJ, WOULD BE SAME FOR A 90? Other than the main ground on the engine right rear where are other key grounds I should check? Anyone have a Rear Hatch Lock Cylinder for sale with key? I need to rekey mine, I think. Key will only insert halfway. Thank you in advance, Troy in SLC, Utah |
