problems when starting
Hi all, let me first by saying this site is a godsend with all the content rich information this site has. I'm trying to get info on a problem that i have now been having. I have a 96 cherokee 6 cyl. and lately every time i start my jeep in the morning i'll let it crank a few times but won't fire, but if I try to start it while pressing on the gas pedal ( and it doesn't require much pressure on the gas pedal) it' finally catches but i have to let go of the pedal slowly for it to finally get back to the right idle speed. If i were to let off on the gas pedal right away, it stalls. Once started and driving around town, it's perfectly fine. No idling issues at lights or acceleration problems. I've replaced the distr. cap and rotor, plugs, wires, IAC valve was done last year and i've even taken it to a shop to check for vacuum leaks and according to the mechanic all checked out. Fuel filter was also replaced last year and cleaned out the throttle body a month ago. Any input will be greatly appreciated
