Post Problems with Power windows

Hey everyone I have an 01 cherokee that has a little problem. The problem is that for some reason I can only roll down windows from the drivers controls on the door.I tried turning the window lock switch on and off and it still doesnt work. However i think it is in the window lock switch because sometimes you can roll them down from their individual controls.Anybody have this similar problem? If so how can I fix it?Thanks!

This is a VERY common issue with the newer models, do a search on the site about it, there is a window lock switch bypass writeup around here somewhere, if i come across it ill post it up for you...pretty sure there was something about cleaning connectors too, but i personally dont need the lock switch and bypassed it, it was fast cheap and easy....works good too

EDIT: found two links

http://soxja.org/images/pics/Bypass/Bypass.html this is the "good" way of doing it

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/win...working-13287/
This is the other way, does the same thing, just a different technique and easier to undo

Overall both easy, both work, but you lose the lock function

I sometimes have this same problem, my drivers side window also is very slow going up sometimes when it reaches about half way.

What if the problem is on a 87 waggy?
Mine works at least three of them from the drivers door, but they dont work from the same doors. How can I try them to see if its the switches?

Thanks in advance
