Problem jerking or hopping going down the road

I just bought this Jeep like 2 weeks ago. I was driving it down the road and it seems that it wants to jerk or buck on me. It is a 1994 4.0 with a manual stick shift. I just changed the lube with 75-90 amsoil. Any ideas on this issue. Problem occurred when is was driving in town around 35 mph.

Is it a 4X4? if so, it could be stuck in 4hi...

No its just in 2wd going straight down the road.

Had a similiar problem on my son's recently. Check the contacts in the cam sensor connector, the corresponding pins in the PCM connector, and the wires between both.

Ours turned out to be a pushed pin in the PCM connector and a bad splice on the 5vdc Ref signal wire to the Cam sensor.
