Power windows and locks
I have a 2000 jeep cherokee, from the drivers door all the windows and locks work fine but from each individual door they do not. I have checked the lock out switch and its good and Ive checked each individual switch at each door and they all seem to check good.. I'm thinking maybe the wiring harness that runs through the doors might be bad/broken wires??? please help..Thanks

The rubber sleeve between Doors & body. Are where most wires become worn. And usually the first place I check (along with using a volt meter.) Pull drivers switch panel out. check for power on the back side of switch. using a volt meter. It will tell if it's the switch, or further back down the power source. Like inside the rubber sleeve. That's what I had to do.

There's some write ups to be found under: window lockout bypass.
Most fixes involve connecting the yellow and tan wires in this picture. The easiest/cheapest way is to stick a paper-clip into the two contacts on top of the plug and then covering it with electrical tape.
This is a very common problem with 2000-2001 Xj's. It's a question of when, not if, it will go out. I've yet to see a fix in which the lockout button is operable.
