Possible timing issue???
Recently replaced the oil pump in my 2000 4.0 cherokee. When I pulled the cam sensor to prime the pump I must have screwed something up. It ran fine that day and the next morning to work then would not start back up. Has codes for cam sensor and crank sensor. Is this a timing issue and can it be fixed without having to remove the timing cover? Thanks for all the help

I take it you removed the oil pump drive and the cam sensor in order to prime the pump. Did you reinstall the oil pump drive and cam sensor per the factory service manual?

The only book I have is a Haynes repair book. But yes I took all that out to prime it. I figured as long as it went back in the same as it came out it would work. I did not remove the cap from the sensor when I did it

Turned out that the whole inside of the crank position sensor was broke. Installed new one and runs good. Will need to have it hooked up to a DRB to finish fine tuning g it. Thanks for the help
