Help? This is crazy the ck engine light came on and I got the code po743. I put some Lucas in and my tranny started to shift into od but not all the time just wondering if I should try changing the tranny fluid and filter hoping it will free something up

That code is a torque converter clutch circuit eletrical

But it will give you access to check what might be screwing up.

Unplug and test is a great way to start. Search for some threads on tranny solenoid testing. I think a couple I looked at from Google suggested 13 ohms being average for a properly operating solenoid. Pressure switches are usually open or closed.

Although rare, I have seen a P0743 be caused by very dirty transmission fluid.
