i know a big problem on ford f450s is that condisation builds inside the coil pack. try remomeing them and air drying them in ur house for a day or two. that what i always do when a customer is to cheap to have them fixed properly.

Try cleaning the throttle body, especially the IAC.

thegoat2000 Nov 18, 2008 11:21 PM

SeriousOffroad Nov 18, 2008 11:21 PM

Have any error codes popped up?

thegoat2000 Nov 18, 2008 11:23 PM

no nothing pops up no codes or nothing but when ur goin down the road its perfict its just at a idle its weard

I know nothing about the coil pack era Jeeps but it sounds like a IAC problem. Take that off and clean it carefully and watch that you don't bend or damage the pintle. re-install it and see if it makes a difference in your idle.

mine does the same thing randomly i pretty sure it lies within the coil packs

thegoat2000 Nov 19, 2008 07:08 AM

i wish there was some way of checking

paroxysym Nov 19, 2008 08:36 AM

spark plugs gapped correctly?

acermcgraw Nov 19, 2008 11:10 AM

check for any vacuum hoses you may have knocked off or inadvertently broken during your maintenance.

paroxysym Nov 19, 2008 11:18 AM

hmmm check to see if your MAF or anything is disconnected on the TB when you cleaned it..

BowtieGuy3 Nov 19, 2008 11:20 AM

You could always grab the multimeter and ohm out the coil packs...

thegoat2000 Nov 19, 2008 01:10 PM

how do you use the meter on the coil pack its one long strip
