Default pcv valve?

how do i take off the elbows on the front and rear of the valve cover. they're called the fresh air inlet and pcv hose. im replacing them and idon't know if im supposed to remove the whole valve cover or not. please help!

Pull. You don't need to remove the valve cover; the elbows should be in grommets that are just soft rubber.

I fixed the issues, thanks you guys.
here's where it started:
oil in the air filter...

so i disconected the hose going from the front elbow (fresh air hose)

next i removed the hose from the elbow and pulled it out of the valve cover. i broke it twisting it out ov there, but managed to get it.

Yeah when i removed my CCV valve it broke and the grommet was so hard i ended up chipping it out in pieces. Alaways a good idea to replace the grommets with the valves.

after that, i removed the hose from the rear elbow and pulled it out.Attachment 14023 it shattered as well.
Attachment 14024that was the only tough part about all of this pcv valve stuff.
the old parts break often with these jeeps but if you take your time you shouldnt have any problemsName:  IMG_1306.jpg

then i just put the new pcv valves in their correct holes and reconnected the hoses
