Hi, I have a 1999 Cherokee, and today I took it to the shop to have them do u-joints and a brake line. They also adjusted my parking brake and it now seems to be a little too tight, so the brakes are on in the rear very lightly. The thing that im wondering is in order to re-adjust the ebrake would I loosen the assembly underneath the driverside passenger floor and go from there? or is there another place where I would adjust the tension in the cable? Thanks

you should be able to adjust it there. There is also a bracket inside your drum brakes that acts as a sort of spacer in between the two brake pads. This bracket can be adjusted to vary the pressure on the drum. Ive never actually had to adjust that bracket, that is just my understanding of what it does.
