p1389 odd issue

p1389 odd issue
So this morning on the drive to work, I ran a fault code check to see if anything else beside the bad NSS code had popped up. Sure enough I am getting a p1389 code that is stating that the PCM is not detecting voltage from the ASD.
Wouldn't that cause it to not start? I also have a p0455 evap code, but I feel like that is unrelated.
Any ideas?
