Overheating issue

i have a 90 xj and replaced the rad, waterpump and thermostat and in the heat of the day it still jumps to like 225 or 235. if i remove the inner fender wells will this dissipate the heat any? any other suggestions.....:wallbash:

Flush the cooling system that might help

The inner fender well is simply a plastic liner for protection from rocks and road debri. Removing it will not open up any additional passages for airflow.

Is your electric fan coming on? Did you buy a standard single core radiator or did you get a three core? What temp does it run on the highway compared to city driving?

yeah the cooling fan not coming on would do it

Hey, what kind of coolant do you run. I recently had an over heating problem and found that I was running to much coolant. So what did was flushed the system and added one gallon of 50/50 and the rest water. I also didn't just do a half a$$ flush the system. I bought a prestone back flush kit. Also, when I burped it a jacked up the front end up to guarantee the air to come out. It takes about 30 to 40 min to burp it 100% correctly, keep doing it tell no more bubbles come out.

i figured out that the fan is not coming on at all. i am gonna run a toggle to it and try that.
