Overheating engine and brakes

After a fairly long run yesterday on twisty roads, so alot of accelerating and then braking, when I finally stopped the brakes were smoking a bit! Is this normal?

Also when I switched the engine off there was a small amount of coolant leaking from somewhere. I started the engine again and the fan came on and cooled things down, but as soon as I stopped the engine again the cooling fan failed to run with the engine off and it started to get hot again. Is it normal for the cooling fan not to come on when your have switched the engine off?

Thanks - Simon.

its normal for the fan not to run when engine is off but it should not be so hot check your system for leaks the jeep likes to runs at about 100C 210f ish if there is a leak it will cause a lack of pressure and the boiling point of the coolant will fall allowing it to boil your brakes might be sticking or maybe just need new pad but depends how hard you where driving it hope this helps
