Overheating/coolant loss help

Kay so I have a 1999 Cherokee 4.0...it has a leak that only seems to leak after driving but I cannot locate...it's not a hose or radiator, I'm thinking gasket for the water pump or thermostat housing or both.
When my jeep got hot tonight I noticed all the hoses were piping hot, but the radiator cap was completely cool, what would cause that?

would replace waterpump and thermostat to start

That's what I'm gonna try, those are the only reasons I'd guess it would be cool on one side but not the other...just figured I'd get some inputs is all!

yeah they are cheap and easy, can inspect hoses and flush your core while your at it

Thanks jomps!

yeah man no probs

I would say replace the hoses while your at it,especially if you don't know if they have been replaced. Would suck to replace/clean everything else, just to have a hose collapse. If your budget allows go new with the waterpump not reman, and either stant superstat, or MOPAR for the tstat.

Is there a drip on the ground or on engine/undercarriage parts?

Or is it losing coolant with no external leak?

have system pressure checked do the cap also b4 throwing money away .fix problem first .....

It usually has a pretty big puddle under the jeep, but I can never find a coolant trail...from where the drip usually is I'd guess it's running down the block from somewhere, but I can't trace it

Sorry it's been so long, I just had my daughter this past week! Well I decided to just buy a new water pump, thermostat housing and thermostat. So my water pump was leaking, and on top of a rusted thermostat housing the guy before me took out the thermostat!
