So I just put a 3 core radiator, thermostat, and water pump in!!i still run at 210+ ... What else can cause overheating???? ,also my oil pressure at cold idle is 80 then warm idle 65 70 amd driving at any speed is 75 80... Help guys why could this be happening???

i have same year....you need a new one,

it wont leak and it looks visually like its fine......but they go bad

near the firewall left side on engine above accumulator check valve (if you have AC, [that siver square thingy])

easy fix.

I would guess the cold thicker oil will give higher pressure than warm/hot.

I would wonder, if the temp stays at 210 both in town and out around, if the new T-stat could be a suspect. I guess if it climbed fast to 210 then leveled off that might be a clue.

Overheating could be bad head or clogged cooling passages. Overheating, BTW, is in the red zone, 240+. 210 is not overheating.

Oil pressure may not be accurate. Check with mechanical gauge.

Agree. The high oil pressure is probably not real. Usually the result of a bad oil pressure sending unit. If you buy one, buy it from the dealer for best reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge.

As for the coolant temp, always a good idea to verify it by pointing an infrared point and shoot thermometer directly at the thermostat housing. There can also be inaccuracy in this circuit between the coolant temp sending unit and the coolant temp gauge in your dash.

Yes I know but in traffic it will climb up there... And ill be doin the hcv soon! I plan on doin a tune up new fuel pumpand sending unit plugs cap rotor and wires as for head is it bad head or head gasket

when was the last time you replaced the fan clutch and is aux cooling fan working

None of that will have the slightest effect on the alleged "overheating" condition.

sending unit on the oil pressure could be wrong but my 90's oil pressure runs at 65 to 70 under load and at 60 at idle. was told by crysler that this was normal

The #1 cause of "temperature creeping up" in traffic is a failing fan clutch.

Often overlooked, inexpensive and easy to replace.

How do I know if its failing and where is it

It is between the main mechanical engine cooling fan and the pulley.

Get your jeep hot or overheating pop the hood with engine off and see if you can spin the mechanical fan if you can you need a new fan clutch
