I'm pulling a headliner with an overhead console out of a 1998 Jeep Limited tomorrow to put in my SE. Both are 4 doors. I can take photos, measurements, drawings, make you a template...what ever you need.

It does! I edited the post when I realized I left that part out in my offer. Wouldn't do you much good otherwise eh?

Default Update

I retrieved the engine parts I needed from the donor 98 ltd. I couldn't get the back hatch open and hence the possibility of removing the headliner and overhead console was nil. After playing phone tag and 20 questions with the owner it was determined the key won't open the back hatch.

Anyone know how to get a hatch open?

I have a few questions regarding the temp sensor and compass in the overhead console: Where is the temp sensor located? Is the compass self contained in OHC?

Just in case the overhead console doesn't work out for me can you use the mounting bracket as a template for the holes/slots in the headliner?

The temp sensor is behind the front bumper, right in the middle.

It's really not that hard to measure this on your own, don't be lazy.

Thanks for the info. It doesn't look good for the OH console. I met dude at the appointed 11:00 time slot. He still didn't have the key. Not sure what the problem is but I got my $50.00 back and told him to call me before he hauled it to the scrap yard or when he got the hatch open. I appreciate the help and suggestions on getting it open. I tried them without the key and had no luck.
