This hardly exists anymore but I'm wondering if there's a full lifetime warranty battery out there, possibly from one of the major auto stores...oriely's, zone, advanced, koi, car quest, napa.

Someone told me Optima are lifetime but not sure if they're sold locally.

I have two optimas and their 3 years free replacement. Most batteries you will pay the same for that warranty. Interstates warranty on most their batteries is fairly limited however they do have a prorated warranty also that optima doesn't. I will say that I had an interstate in my last truck and it was awesome it's all my dad will buy. My motorcraft max that I just replaced with an optima lasted 4 years without issue. I've read about how awesome odessey battery's are but I couldn't find a place to buy one and they were really Spendy. From what I gather picking out a battery is like picking out oil everyone has a "this is why mine is best" story

Ps if you have an orielys or autozone around you have optima batteries.

Not sure about all these battery threads. Any battery I've ever owned, whether OEM in a new vehicle or a replacement from many sources, has lasted a minimum of 5 years through New York winters. Look up consumers reports best buys and just pick one. It's not a big decision.

Agreed, the acdelco battery I replaced in my jeep was 8 years old. I only bought the optimas because Ive always wanted them.

I use napa legend 75 batteries amd have had no problems with them.

i just bought a motomaster maximum extreme AGM battery from crappy tire. has full 5 year free replacement warranty and cheaper than optima.
i will never buy another optima. i have 3 dead ones in my shop that are only 3 years old. two were bought at walmart. go figure... optima sold out and went the cheap way. now their batteries suck.

Yup back in the late 70 maybe early 80s firestone and montgomery wards had a lifetime battery. Only reason I know my mom has one from firestone, still have the orginal paperwork too made photocopy of it just in case it got worn out. Sometimes they throw a fit and argue about it others dont.
