orifice tube

After finishing my engine swap I went to try out my A/C and it was not blowing cold. With gauges I noticed the pressure was a little low so I added some refrigerant and got the low side to around 30 but the high side was well above 200 which I knew was high. I know when the high side is too high that usually means the orifice tube is clogged and I know the orifice tube is located inside the liquid line. However, whenever I look up a liquid line for the Jeep they are all listed as NOT having the orifice tube. Where can I get a liquid line with the orifice tube installed?

It is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0

thanks,
joma

after further inspection i found the jeep actually has an expansion valve, not an orifice tube. should i replace this to help my pressure difference?

What was the ambient temp when you were doing this?
And was your electric fan running?

ambient was 80 degrees and the electric fan was running. i blasted the condenser with a hose to make sure it was clean

So I am not sure what the exact specs for a '96 are, and if you run 134, but here is a general guide.

According to that 200 is not out of the ball park wrong.

If you have an expansion valve, you probably have a sight glass on the accumulator. Do you?
