I have a 2000 Cherokee and the air only blows out the defrost vents no matter what position I set the ****. I took off the front panel and all hoses are connected so lost to the problem.
Why won't air come out the floor or the dash vents?

You have a vac leak. Check under the hood for hissing.

The first place to check is the vaccum line at the vaccum bottle behind the pass. side front bumper.

Most likely the round ball behind the bumper the tube can slip off the end. The vents are controlled by vac.

Thanks all.......I traced the line back from the ball and it was rubbed into beside the battery. I repaired that break and all works great..............tonetls
