When I accelerate from a stop I get one pop or knock from what sounds like the passenger side rear. It doesn't do it every time just every so often. I crawled under to take a look and found the brake cable rubbing on something which I'll have to fix as well. That cable is suspended with a spring and looks like it's hanging the same as the other side but for some reason it's rubbing. What could be broken causing that side to rub and pop, shocks, springs or something else. If it isn't one thing it's always another. Any input appreciated.

Any hesitation when it pops?

No, it kind of seems like something is slightly binding then gives.

Maybe you need to replace your rear brakes and bleed the system?

Was just wondering if what you were experiencing was intake backfire.

Do you get a similar clunk or pop when you shift from reverse to drive? Could it be lash in the diff?
