One off track bar help??
Here's an idea. I'm thinking of making an adjustable track bar for my lifted XJ. My wife is getting really mad at me spending money so as a money saving alternative I was thinking of fabbing my own adjustable track bar. I want to get a donor from the jy and making it longer and adding a joint at the end that is adjustable. I have the basic concept on how I want it to look(adding on to the passenger side). All I need is the length from someone who has a RC 4.5 lift. Also, before I take on this project, is the stock track bar hollow or solid? Help is greatly appreciated.

Rough country has one for $100...
with something so important.. i wouldnt be fabbing one...
now.. take your stock springs, stretch them out for a few inches of lift.. that will save money!

With the right size ID and plug welding you will be fine, as long as you have good welding skills-or have a good welding shop to do the work for you!
