Check your trans lines. My 91 limited is leaking trans fluid from the upper cooler quick disco. Line and disco from summit is like $54 after shipping.

The best way to start chasing the origin of any oil leaks, is to start with cleaning your engine bay with decreaser etc, hose it down, let it dry and take it for a drive. When you open the hood you should be able to locate the leak more easily.
Common leaks are the oil filter adapter housing and rocker cover gasket, to name two.
When you look under the vehicle, you also will likely see oil 'leaking' around the pan. Don't immediately think bad about your rear main seal just because it looks that way. Its more likely to be coming from higher up (the 4.0 is slightly tilted to the rear, so any oil leaking tends to end up at the lowest point), so start with the above first to locate the leaks.
Your translines usually leak at the connection points. You could just replace them with rubber hose and hoseclamps, which works fine (and a fraction of the costs for new lines), plus you can do a transmission forward flush at the same time and get that of the things-to-do list.
