Default Oil pressure stays at 10 psi at idle and when at highway speeds

So for the past couple of months my 2001 jeep Cherokee oil pressure has been pretty bad. It stays at 10 psi contantly, maybe increasing a max of 2-3 psi, but at idle and highway speeds and high RPMs it doesn't change. I have changed the oil pressure sensor and changed my oil to 10w-40 and some lucus oil additive and still nothing. I have read that it might be the oil pump. How would I be able to further diagnose this problem?

Have you verified with a mechanical gauge that it only has 10 psi of oil? If not, start there before you do anything else or throw parts at it.

Check it with a mechanical gauge. And what brand pressure switch are you using?
