Oil Pressure Gage Reading?
 

88 Jeep Comanche 4.0L Renix. 135K miles

I just noticed yesterday that with my engine turned off, the oil pressure gage is still showing around 25 psi.

It could have been this way since I've owned this truck, I only noticed it because I was sitting in the truck listening to a new CD.

Is this normal?
With the engine running, it does climb to around 60 psi, and apparently the engine is getting plenty of oil.

Best bet is to purchase a 20 dollar oil pressure gauge/sender from the parts store and install that.

Or get the 3 gauge set and get temp and voltage too!

i would try to replace the sensor first. its really unlikely for a oil pump to go out because it is maniacal pump. i personally would never buy auto zone or advance sensors because how faulty they have been for me. i would buy napa or from jeep. if that don't work its your cluster.... then again they say not broke don't fix it...
