Was getting read to do the RMS, oil pump, etc etc and saw this.

Is the separation normal?

Yes.

Yes I have done the RMS on mine maybe about 6 months ago and the sep. is normal. Be ready for a fight of you life to get the damn oil pan back up. Getting it out is not too bad but putting it back in is a PITA unless your jeep is lifted. I had to have my father in law help by pushing the front axle downward with a 2x4 to get it back in.

Yeah, I can tell reinsertion is going to be about as much fun as the Pied Piper going up against the Queen of Corruption.

Entertainment for some, a nightmare for most.

goes pretty quick though?

the removal process?

Bakerunc 10-23-2016 11:03 PM

Yeah removal process goes fairly quick. Took me about a day and a half taking my time and running to the store a couple times lol. Just be sure to try to keep up with what bolts go where on your oil pan some are longer that others to secure some wires to

this is a MPITA.

Can't get the axle down far enough to free up the oil pan to come out.

I can see why this is a nightmare getting in.
