Default Just one click when I turn the key

So I’ve researched for the past 2 days trying to figure out this problem. When I turn my key all I get is a loud click from the starter. So to eliminate a few things I’ll start by saying I have a new battery, new alternator, new NSS, and a starter that is about a year old. I’ve checked the battery terminals as well. It first started out with my Jeep just having trouble turning over. It slowly became harder and harder for the Jeep to start. I took the starter out and cleaned all the connections. It started up great, like a dream for about 2 days then slowly started having a harder and harder time starting. Now it just won’t start at all. I just get that loud click from the starter. Oh and I did try to jump with with no success.

Since you had starter problems recently, I think you had better replace it

But a starter should last more than a year right? Or maybe the last on I got was just bad?

Sure it should, but if you messed with it and it worked better and now it doesn't, I think you need to replace it

Things to try;

perform a "voltage drop test" at the starter motor

check earth and positive cable attachments

short all 3 starter terminals with a ring spanner (key on run, NOT in gear)

replace starter motor is not expensive or difficult
