Weird electrical issue???
Ok, so I might not be a mechanic but I absolutely cannot figure this out...
I did the budget power window fix (tap splice to tan and white wires in driver-side kick panel) which worked great.
However...
I've now got door locking issues. When I hit the power lock button on the driver door, the rear window wiper would come on. SO, I removed the tap splice thinking I did something wrong... NOW the window fix is gone AND the power locks still don't work...
In fact, when I hit the lock button on the driver door not only do the doors not lock, but the horn sounds.
I've checked all the fuses I could find. I'm really not sure what else to check. The power locks are all jacked up but I never touched anything related to them (or so I thought).
One other thought though is that I have the dash disassembled (and unplugged the instrument cluster - but since plugged it back in) so that I could repair the AC evaporator, but that was all plastic trim and screws - no electrical disconnects.
I don't get it. Please help if anyone has dealt with similar issues with their door locks.
