OIL FILTER CHOICES......what are you using
Just as the title says.....for me, just factory although I was using a NAPA gold 1515......may go back to that

It depends on what oil that I'm running. When I run Royal Purple, Mobile 1 extended performance, or Pennzoil Platinum Plus, then I like to use the best which I think is the Royal Purple spun glass because I haven't gotten a reusable stainless steel mesh filter. If I'm using a lesser oil, then I use Microgard when it has an anti-drain back valve and Wix elsewise.

Just the Napa Gold 1085 which is a rebranded Wix. When it comes to the Napa Gold filters you keep an eye out for when the go on sale. I want to say I pay a little over $3 when the run the "Good" sale.

Whatever's on sale. IMO filters are not rocket science and they are all effective. Reports of "Omigod your engine will explode if you use that!" are anecdotal at best.

I've been almost exclusively using the Mopar 090 filter for the last ~7 years. No problems at all so far, and I've read good things online about its quality.

I completely agree. I find little hope for democracy when I hear my fellow citizens say that Frame filters are terrible because the end caps are cardboard while other filters are great because the end caps are metal. I always give pause to allow them to figure that the filter medium is paper and not as sturdy as cardboard or figure that there are bypass mechanism when the medium is clogged or figure that not changing oil with filter during the interval for change is an issue that effects all filters equally...

My 95 likes the WIX, but as the Napa and Mom & Pop stores (that sell the WIX) are out of the way for me, I'll also throw on the Mobil 1 since they're pretty inexpensive at Walmart (where I'm buying the oil from).

^ this. Disregarding oil filter quality is completely ludicrous . Your OIL choice matters significantly less than your oil filter . I have seen many brand new Purolator\Fram etc bottom of the barrel el cheapo oil filters cause Very low or no oil pressure concerns straight out of the box ! I only run quality filters on anything I own a lot of your oil is made in the same warehouse by the same company not so much with filters .

If a product is "bad", then what is an expected failure rate? 0.1%? 0.01%? 0.001%?
Fram's got over 2 BILLION filters out there so when they post 200,000 failures (and not the one where the guy is winding out a Ferrari) then I'll take 'em seriously.
