Default oil filter adapter

Tore up the head of the bolt a bit. Not totally stripped but boogered up and I haven't been able to budge it yet. Thinking about jb welding the t60 into the bolt to try to avoid causing any more damage.

If that doesn't work, I would probably need to sawzall the adapter and bolt. I have read that was solution for someone in another thread.

Any better ideas?

Just by running it.

I did end up getting it off with no drama, I used a 2ft pipe on a geared box end wrench attached to the bit part of a disassembled torx socket.

I also needed my 3ft tire iron to wedge between the torx and body to keep it in snug.

What ever works and it sounds like this worked for you. Hope you have a better time putting it back together.

All were ideas stolen from other threads of people having the same problem.

Going together shouldn't be a problem. I bought a brandy new bolt and don't plan on using permanent loctite like the factory did.
