I have a good leak from the oil dipstick tube. Tried cleaning the block and installing new mopar dipstick tube from Morris Offroad. New tube went in tight but seemed a little easy to seat it.

i don’t really want to use metal-set or something to sea l but i need to do something.

Any products recommended to reseal this dipstick tube? Would be nice if there was like a Copper crush fitting that these dipstick used rather than just a close tolerance fit.

you think the oil leak from my dipstick is oil blow-by? As in bad piston rings? Would that be pressurizing the oil pan to where the oil leaks past the dipstick tube.

well damn. It does make sense. I’ll try the cheap fix for now and try and get a year or two more out of it before full engine rebuild.
