Oil change to flush or not ?
As above really payday next week so the list of jobs for my toy gets a few more crossed off, finish the safari rack I've been making with my buddy Rob paint and all buy 4-6 oblong 50w spots for the rack and a new full size spare rather than the get me home wheel !
Anyway one job I want to do is an oil change, my Jeep is a 2.5 Diesel so should I buy some flushing oil with engine cleaner and flush her out once I've dropped the current oil or should I just fill her up with good quality oil ?
I ask because apparently there's 2 schools of thought here 1 flushing can stir up crap in the engine and cause blockages because of the thin oil and cleaners or flush it and get the crap out !
Over to you!

If you've been using good quality oil, good quality filters, and changed regularly on good intervals, then just fill her up with fresh oil after draining. If you're concerned about engine cleanliness or have a ticking lifter, try using a little Marvel Mystery Oil next oil change. But idk if they sell that in the UK
TBH I have no Idea what oil is in there one of the reasons for changing it, Marvel Mystery I've never heard of but there are plenty of fuel and oil additives on the market over here it's just a matter of knowing which actually work !

how many miles (kilometers) on the truck. a super high mileage and i'ld flush. i had a sticky lifter when i got my rig @ 200,000, now i change the oil every 2000 instead of 3000 and i use "SeaFoam". (similar to mystery oil) no more tick tick tick from the lifter.
just noises every wher else. haha

Engine crankcase additives are highly over-rated.
No need to add anything UNLESS you have a confirmed "sludge" problem from lack of reasonable oil change intervals.
Doesn't sound like that is the case.
Get some new oil and filter in there and move on to the next project.

Unless you have owned since new, me personally I would NEVER FLUSH an engine. Sludge and other trapped contaminets get broke loose and close oil passages and screen for oil pump. Bad VERY bad for motor. JMO
