OEM Injector Question
 

'99 Cherokee, 4.0L engine. Its just a plain jane Cherokee.

Just curious about the numbers on the injectors.I bought a set of stock jy injectors because one of the ones in my jeep has a cracked plastic outer casing and I thought the entire injector was some how cracked.
Any ways my Injectors have 2 sets of numbers on them.

• x019x15733

The jy injectors first set of numbers are the same as my original but the second set of numbers are different.

What is the significance of the second set of numbers?


As a side note before somebody asks.I wanted to do the injector upgrade but have not waded through all the info on here yet and what bit I did go through was just confusing so I just got the stock injectors for now to get my jeep going and will probably do the upgrade at a later time once I get the needed info for my specific jeep :).

Probably a serial number, is each injector different? Or maybe it identifies the build date, factory, etc.

I checked all of the injectors numbers.It would appear that it is just some sort of mfg code or something but I was just curious since the second set of numbers on each set of injectors I have seem to point towards some kind of "set". The numbers on each match each other up to the last 3 digits.My original set has one that does not follow sequence.

I am sure that these numbers will not make a difference even if I mix and match them as long as the first number of each injector (04854181) which I assume is the actual injector spec number, is the same between sets which it is. I was just curious like I said since there seems to be a pattern or "set".
