Is this a OEM gas tank skid?
I found this on Craigslist. Is this a XJ gas skid? The guy claims it off a 93 but to me it doesn't look like a XJ skid. I'm wanting to put this in my 98. Will it work? He only wants $25 so if you think it will work I'll try it.

Isn't there a mod you can do. It is a XJs though? After looking up what the pre 97 gas tank skids look like this looks different. They are enclosed while this one isn't. Is this an aftermarket of some kind?
