hey yall, finally got around to my first post so here it goes. ever since i got my cherokee iv'e noticed a weird oddity about the fuel gauge, ill get 200 mile range out of the first half and about 60 miles on the second half. Is this normal or is there something more going on? Its a 2001 4.0 4 speed 4x4 with the optional 20 gallon tank.

They didn't make a 20 gal tank for the 97+ XJ. 97+ are 18 gal 96- are 15 or 20.5 gal. And to answer your question that don't seem right. The second half always goes faster but not that much faster.
thanks for the info about the 18gal tank, i guess my mileage isnt as bad as i thought. and fish i normally fill up with around 16ish gallons, sometimes a little more. To go into a little more detail i will get almost 100 miles before my fuel guage moves below the full line. is there anything i can look into or check? i dont know much about fuel systems
