OBD2 port will pull codes but will not show live data

Out of nowhere my OBD2 port randomly stopped giving me live data. it will pull codes and clear codes without issue but any live RPM or coolant temperature data etc that used to give it will not anymore. I'm trying to diagnose cooling issues. Does anybody know what could be causing that part of the OBD Port not to work. This is a 98

My usual is one of those RLM Bluetooth ones. But I've tried it with everything from those snap on tablet things to the code reader AZ lends out.
