Pep Boys scanned my 99 XJ for the check engine light.
I got a Po132, P0135 and a PO138 the tech said it was the O2 sensor.
I learned from this forum that the cause is often a blown fuse. In my case that is exactly what I found. I disconnected the battery, changed the fuse, powered up and the check engine light is OFF. I crawled under the car and I did not see anything wrong with the wires to the sensor.
Cant figure out what would have popped that fuse but everything is good now and i hope it stays that way.

Hey guys I am having the same problem on my 99 WJ replaced the fuse thanks to this forum and reset the Check Engine Light (CEL). It passed emissions thank God, but the CEL came back on this morning, checked fuse and it was blown again. Wiring looks good and O2 harness is not melted, Any ideas?

O2 sensor code after replacements
Hey Fam!
I just purchased my first Jeep! It’s a 1998 4.0L 2wd automatic Cherokee limited. See image. That’s it dead on the freeway. This vehicle wouldn’t pass smog. I cleaned the fuel injectors, throttle body and replaced the O2 sensors, see image. I did not unplug the battery when changing the O2 sensors. Now my car stutters once it’s warmed up. Assuming the closed loop kicks in properly. My check engine light is on and the codes read o2 bank 1/2 error. I do have a rattle in my catalytic converter. I live in California and it’s hard to get that shipped but I want to get a consensus before I start buying more items. Any tips, tricks or work arounds to get my jeep up and running?
symptoms-
rough start 2-3 keys turns and stutter roll.
fine when idling.
rpm around 1,000 once warm drops around 800/900.
While driving it feels like the transmission is disconnecting to let the gear catch up and then I lose all power of acceleration thens it grab again. That goes on and off during the entire drive. During the stutter oil pressure fluctuates between 10-30 psi. Sounds as if choking.
any help is appreciated
