O2 Question

O2 Question
2001 XJ, bastard 4 o2 system. The sticky skips these system. Will running no lower o2s cause issues? Put a 98 engine in with the header and welded o2 bugs in for the uppers and have no lowers currently. Have a misfire with no codes, at idle, acceleration, and cruise. Feels like a fish bite. I can get 2 more sensors and weld bugs in for those too if that is the cause. I know earlier systems only use the lower o2s to monitor the cat, but I can't get a straight answer on whether or not that is still the case with the 4 sensor system.

The later models use all 4 sensors to run the engine.
